Saskatoon

Better Days are here.

New clothing brands in the "streetwear" world pop up daily. Typically I could give a shit about any of them. T-shirts talking about fresh kicks, money, hip-hop lyrics and half naked girls have absolutely nothing to do with me and who I am. That's why when a brand emerges that is based on hand drawn graphics, cool imagery and has a genuine feel to it, I take notice. Such is the case with Better Days. It was a few months ago that I discovered that this brand was coming and I was already into it. Finally the entire line has been previewed and as of today, is available on karmaloop. Take a minute and check out their designs, if you're a fan of creepy/cool characters you're in for a treat. Keep an eye out for this brand, I predict they'll grow quickly!

Com Raid Interviews Andrew Lee

We posted an interview with Andrew Lee (Invisible Man, Bastard Squad, Commissary) a while ago when the I:M store in New York was opening. This feature interview goes a little further in depth with Andrew and gives a lot more insight into what drives his projects. Check it out.

Because The Kids Don't Play

I first found out about Bryan on a forum on hypebeast as an upcoming clothing line called Ideall. I was always impressed with his illustrator skills and was proud that he was a fellow Canadian. I've followed what he's been doing for a little while now and while I was impressed with his first bunch of Wholly's, "The Kids Don't Play" set is absolutely insane. I like to think that I'm creative and artistic, but seeing things like this makes me question that. It's good though, seeing someone being so blatantly creative just fuels me to push myself.

Half-Week Hardcore: Deathwish Edition

Single Second has a Deathwish problem! I've pretty much started to buy all of my music directly from Deathwish.com, every time I go to my local music store they just don't have the albums that are a little harder to find. Combine that with Deathwish's current summer sale, and I'm ready to spend some money.
This order included :
Cold World - Dedicated To Babies Who Came Feet First 12"
Integrity - Walpurgisnacht 7"
Narrows - Self Titled 7"
The Carrier - No Love Can Save Me 7"
Lewd Acts - Lung Patrol 7"
Narrows - New Distances CD
Converge - Unloved and Weeded Out CD
Learn - Life And... CD
Trash Talk - Plagues... Walking Disease CD
Modern Life Is War - My Love. My Way. CD
Lewd Acts - Dark Days CD
The Hope Conspiracy - Death Knows Your Name CD

Deathwish thoughtfully uploads all of their vinyl so that when you buy it you can download the songs from their website. I enjoy ripping them using my own USB turntable, a Numark TTUSB (coincidentally the same turntable Deathwish uses). Next order I make is going to have to have some Deathwish slipmats on it.

Im going to try to get to a few reviews soon. Cold World, Carpathian, Narrows and The Hope Conspiracy, so watch out for those in the near future.

Simply Beautiful

Below is a video clip of the Tim Sylvia vs Ray Mercer fight. I titled this post Simply Beautiful because I god damn hate Tim Sylvia, and Mercer crushes him. I especially love when Tim kicks him, he says without any words "Boy... Imma fuck you up!"
